Responsibilities

This person will be responsible for Conduct data science, Contribute to Data Science and BI Team effectiveness, and Contribute to BI Portfolio effectiveness. You will play a key role in transforming structured and unstructured data into insights and models for business decision-making.

The Data Scientist performs individual work assignments, participates in working groups and contributes to enterprise projects, often independently representing the Data Science and BI Team. You’ll bring strong business acumen and the ability to frame business problems and transform them into analytical problems to be solved using appropriate data science methods.

Qualifications

Degree in applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, operations research, or a related quantitative field or Hands-on Experience accepted in lieu of.

3-6 years of experience in executing data science projects, preferably in the domains of customer behavior prediction and operations management.

Advanced coding knowledge and experience in at least two programming languages: for example, R, Python/Jupyter, C/C++, Java or Scala.

Advanced knowledge of database programming languages including SQL, PL/SQL, or others for relational databases, graph databases or NoSQL/Hadoop-oriented databases.

Broad Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques that include a generalized linear model (GLM) / regression, random forest, boosting, trees, text mining, hierarchical clustering, neural networks, graph analysis, data sampling, design of experiments, etc.

Familiarity with typical algorithms used by retail businesses (i.e., Churn, Segmentation) required.

Technical skills for working across multiple deployment environments including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid and skills for acquiring new datasets, parsing datasets, organizing datasets, representing data visually and automating data-driven models.

Advanced knowledge of statistical tools and advanced analytics platforms such as Minitab, SAS, Knime, Dataiku, Anaconda, Google Collaboratory

Certified Analytics Professional credential (available through INFORMS.ORG)

  • Excellent knowledge of heterogeneous networked server environment, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Novell Netware, Citrix, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, Netbackup, Server Hardware, TCP/IP, VMWare and Storage Area Networks.

Position Overview:
This position will provide day-to-day support to Contracting Officers (COs) with, draft and preparation of solicitations, contracts and master contract releases and associated documentation; market research; interfaces with internal clients on statement of work and project timelines, and communications with external vendors on questions related to contracts and Client’s established procurement process.



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Gather, review, draft and/or edit contract documents, including the process of award decisions per established procedure and as directed by CO.

This activity may include observing different work streams that could be made more efficient, encouraging the use of templates, and standardization of documentation. Assist with the implementation of Client management approved recommendations, including input into change management approach and plans.
• Gather and facilitate customer information and provide procurement standardized guidance/procedures to customer(s) on established contract and solicitation processes.
• Enter data into Client Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. May extract and format data from Enterprise Resource Planning systems for use in presentations to supply chain and/or customer teams
• Work with Client Accounts Payable and Contracting Officer Representatives to resolve invoicing issues.



REQUIREMENTS
Education & Corresponding Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in any field, however, Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply and Logistics Management is highly preferred;
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, candidate must have completed at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management (resume content must validate minimum 24 semester hours in the fields listed to qualify for this position – see following “Note”).

Position Overview:
This contract Project Manager position will provide project management expertise and assistance to the Client’s Org. Delivery & Performance (TOII) group, a part of the Internal Operations Management Office (TOI) organization of the Transmission (T) business line. This position will work with a variety of subject matter experts (SMEs) to assist Client with verifying that all applicable regulatory requirements are met and projects with potential impacts to the grid are successfully managed to allow the safe and reliable operation of Client’s Transmission grid. This PM position is regularly / typically assigned multiple projects related to changing or adding new systems or equipment which will be integrated into Client’s transmission grid. It is anticipated that the extremely critical, highly-visible, upcoming, multi-year OMS (Outage Management System) project is to be assigned to this position. The OMS project will replace Client’s long-time, customized Daily Activity Record Tracking (DART) system and will provide an automated outage submission, tracking, and coordination system and more standardized associated business processes and practices.




POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support and facilitate Client manager-assigned project, and/or multiple projects, relating primarily to operational requirements for Transmission Grid changes, from beginning to end in collaboration with senior management, external industry entities and stakeholders, by providing expert support on the PMI-based project management methodology, best practices, and internal skill development as requested by and with guidance from the Client manager, team lead or other personnel with the authority to do so, including:
o Facilitate working sessions, collaborate, and participate in discussions with various groups within the Control Center, Transmission Technology, Asset Management, Security Dispatch, the Outage Office and other interested parties to gather project requirements (and comments), develop and recommend project work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, etc..
o Liaise with other project managers to determine System Operations resources and schedules for projects, verifying the coordination of control center activities with design, construction, and system / equipment testing schedules when projects are placed into the work plan.
o Coordinate, arrange and facilitate business requirements gathering sessions; conduct needs analysis from various stakeholder perspectives; work with SMEs and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to review, draft and recommend project specifications.
o Provide input and recommendations for a standard Project Requirements Documents (PRD) review process, incorporating SME input, technical data and other requirements to meet Client and industry standards.
o Facilitate and/or validate System Operations (TO), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and North American Electric Reliability Council – Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC-CIP) requirements are identified in field project planning documentation.
o Collaborate and coordinate with field project managers on official energization dates to provide to account executives (AEs) for use in contracts and Client work orders. Confirm with project managers that realistic schedules are provided for customer contracts.
o Work with field project managers (PMs), project team(s), the COR, and Asset Management staff to review and update official cost, resource and time estimates for the Operation’s portion of field projects.
o Serve as a point of contact for field organizations on multiple assigned projects, providing project details, goals, milestones, deliverables and resource schedules; as well as, technical and/or compliance information and assistance.
o Interface with other organizations within Client to evaluate Transmission project needs for System Operations, and to validate requirements and tasks on projects are properly identified, tracked and completed; alert Client manager/personnel of any issues or concerns, providing mitigation recommendations; implement Client management approved mitigation actions.
o Track, monitor and review Control Center costs and confirm appropriate work orders and Activity-Based Management (ABM) codes are being used.
o Work with the COR to reconcile invoices and validate deliverables were received as ordered; and, prepare invoice(s) for payment.
o Draft business cases/justifications for Grid Modernization / System Operations’ projects, initiatives, and efforts; secure approvals for project implementation from appropriate decision-making body.
o Verify Control Center activities are coordinated with other Client project teams to maintain schedules; alert Client manager/personnel of any issues or concerns, providing mitigation recommendations; implement Client management approved mitigation actions.
o Track construction status from an operations perspective, both for Control Center progress and for field/external progress that impacts the Control Center; alert Client manager/personnel of any issues or concerns, providing mitigation recommendations; implement approved mitigation actions.
o Verify contact list for each project with customer, both for customer and Control Center completeness and accuracy.
o Provide input and recommendations for the creation of clear problem statements, gap analysis and roadmap creation for integration/migration efforts.

REQUIREMENTS
Education & Corresponding Experience:

Our client is engaged in a multi-year transition of its healthcare data warehouse and reporting platform under the project name, Caboodle Transition Project.

The Epic CDW Business Analyst will be both a customer facing and a project team-facing role, responsible for soliciting and documenting business requirements from healthcare business partners, including physicians and healthcare leadership. This position will also be responsible for translating business requirements into functional requirements for ETL and BI reporting solution development. Finally, this position will be responsible for performing technical analysis of Epic and our data structures and providing guidance on reporting solution approaches to developer analysts involved in the project. A strong candidate will have excellent communication, documentation, and personal skills as well as a firm understanding of financial terminologies, Epic HB Resolute workflow, Clarity HB Resolute data model, and BI solution architecture. The ideal candidate will also have experience working in the Epic Clarity and Caboodle environments. Ability to read and comprehend complex SQL (Oracle views & stored procedures) is a requirement.

Position Overview:
This contract Project Manager (Engineering) 3 is located in the Client Transmission Technology (TT) Operational Services (TTO) organization. The position will collaborate with business analysts, project managers, technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the various Transmission Technology organizations and their internal customers to develop program and project strategies and plans and will provide input, recommendations and assistance with the development and implementation of technical projects necessary for the reliable and secure operation of the Bulk Electric System (BES). POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Utilizing industry best practices, consult with TTO and senior management to provide recommendations on all aspects of projects’ System Life Cycle (SLC), including business case development, functional and non-functional requirements, risk identification and mitigation, schedule and budget, design, engineering, implementation, and transition to Operations and Maintenance (O&M).
o Review project proposals originating outside TT and identify projects’ impacts on TTO;
o Review O&M processes and procedures and recommend revisions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Support and facilitate Client manager-assigned project or multiple projects, from beginning to end in collaboration with senior management, external industry entities and stakeholders, providing technical expertise on project management methodology, best practices, and internal skill development as requested by and with guidance from the Client manager, team lead or other personnel with the authority to do so, including:

• Facilitate closeout accounting for the projects assigned by reviewing final costs and verifying the work order costs match the final invoice to the customer. This must be approved by TTO supervision prior to distribution.

The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enabling Client to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.

Client Partners is embarking on a multi-year population health program known as Healthy Planet. Within this program are two projects: (1) Implementation of Epic Systems population health module known as Healthy Planet and its adoption by the enterprise (2) Operationalization of Epic Caboodle Data Warehouse (CDW). The Healthy Planet population health module will be deployed at Client in collaboration with Epic, Client and Salem Health. The operationalization of CDW will include Client’s retirement of a legacy custom-built data warehouse known as ClientDW and the transition of end-user reports from IBM Cognos to Business Objects, Epic Reporting Workbench, and Tableau. This effort will also involve integration of 3rd party data, including other Client partner sites such as Salem Health.

As an essential part of the Operationalization of CDW as well as the Client Data Warehouse divestiture at Client, this position is responsible for advanced ETL and database design and development utilizing Epic’s framework for developing Caboodle ETL. SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis will be utilized as required. These processes are used in support of healthcare financial, clinical and shared services customers. ETL design and development that delivers information effectively to and from CDW data star schema and OLAP data structures while following the SDLC process are hallmarks of this position. The ideal candidate will possess advanced-level ETL experience with Epic Caboodle’s ETL framework as well as experience using Microsoft’s data warehouse tools, including SSIS and SSAS. Hands-on experience with Epic Caboodle Data Warehouse is required with Epic Clarity preferred. Finally, the candidate shall be able to effectively read as well as author SQL at an advanced level.

This position is responsible for developing data warehouse structures in support of the implementation of Client Partners Caboodle Data Warehouse. Data will be sourced from Epic’s Clarity Operational Datastore as well as various external databases and third-party data files. This work ensures that the information assets of the Client enterprise are leveraged to enhance financial, clinical, and operational decision-making, therefore ensuring competitive business advantages. This position is responsible for partnering with BI business analysts, SQL Server Database Administrators, and end-user layer Business Intelligence developers in implementing information technology solutions delivered to SQL Server for leveraging in SAP Business Objects, Epic Hyperspace, and Tableau. These solutions allow users to appropriately generate timely, accurate and comprehensive information for managing our business.

Job Title: Epic Clarity Administrator

Duration: 6 Months starting

Location – Portland (downtown)

This role is responsible for administration of the Epic Clarity platform . This is accomplished by performing Clarity Administration tasks, system configuration and ETL development. This position will need to perform scoping and estimating on Clarity and Data Warehouse related activities. Such development work is related to creating and customizing KB-SQL, creation of derived tables and associated store procedures, mitigating issues related to Epic supplied DDL. The Clarity Administrator is responsible for the process of upgrading the Clarity platforms during each SU and Epic Upgrade.

Present technical information and design proposals in easily understood terms in both verbal and written form. Work closely with fellow IT staff and project management to develop, test and document systems and processes. Interact and work directly with customers, team members and analysts on project and support issues. Facilitates communication upward and across project teams. Follow change management and problem management processes.

This position is also responsible for detailed technical analysis to assure the availability and accuracy of data processed by the Epic Clarity ETL or contained in the data warehouses and systems. This will include availability for rotation through an after-hours on-call support model as needed for upgrades, project go lives or to provide ongoing support of new systems that may have 24x7 support agreements. This will require a broad knowledge of systems and workflows.

The Incumbent will observe due care, objectivity and respect for confidentiality. Key Responsibilities & Performance Standards

  • System Configuration and Administration.
  • Develop, Implement and Maintain the Epic reporting system such as Clarity and Caboodle including the implementation, monitoring and validation of provided ETL routines.
  • Work with other key ITG groups such as DBAs, networking, security and infrastructure teams to assure the systems follow ITG standards and best practices.
  • Implement, maintain, monitor and fix Epic supplied data feeds and processes.
  • Recommend changes to ETL and data processing routines and the system configuration or environment to ensure that routines run efficiently and complete according to SLAs.
  • Develop custom ETL processes to provide additional data to Epic Clarity or related data warehouses and systems to meet reporting requirements.
  • Work with the appropriate vendors (i.e. Epic) and BIAA team resources to evaluate new systems, new modules for existing systems and new capabilities that need to be implemented to support critical healthcare reporting efforts.
  • Perform regular backfills, system updates (SUs) and upgrades as required.
  • Analyze what tables need to be included as part of normal Backfill processing and perform Backfilling process in close collaboration with other Platform Administrators, such as Caboodle.
  • Perform the necessary technical installation and configuration steps to implement SUs and Upgrades. Work with the vendor to troubleshoot and resolve any application bugs that arise as a result.

Epic Clarity System Support

  • Troubleshoot and analyze ETL process failures, data anomalies and other ETL or data warehouse issues identified by automated monitoring, other developers and end users.
  • Work through established processes to resolve any system or data problems and communicate updates and status to affected groups.
  • Recommend changes to ETL processes and/or the data warehouse model to improve existing structures and code to increase reliability and efficiency.
  • Deliver additional ETL tools and/or data warehouse systems/products to improve the use of business data in the decision-making process.

Validate Data in Clarity and the Data Warehouse

Provide support to data warehouse developers, data analysts and users to validate data in the data warehouse. Investigate and report on problems and work to ensure the validity of the data warehouse.

Requirement

The TTSD Operation Information Team supports data historians, internal/external web sites, and provides analytical support for Client’s Operations Engineering group along with other departments within Client.
