Position Overview:

This contract Software Programmer 3 position is in the Transmission Technology System Development and Support (TTSD) organization. The TTSD organization develops and implements customized technology solutions to support the Client’s Control Centers. The position assists in interpreting design specifications, assists in technical design, coding software, and following test and deployment procedures, complying with project documentation requirements, and working on a development team using a mix of development methodologies including Agile.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Use existing standards, procedures and practices to design, code, test, deploy, configure and support the outage system.
  2. Analyze, estimate, test, code, and deploy application/system changes under the prevailing change management procedures and requirements.
  3. Work directly with the Business and Technical Team to document and implement user stories/change requests.
  4. Work with compliance staff to verify that system remains in a compliant state including architecture and modeling the application.
  5. Productively integrate with an existing Agile development team.
  6. Serve a critical role as a programmer on an existing XP based development team.
  7. Attend and participate in team meetings (design, iteration planning, stand-up, etc.).
  8. Apply existing standards, procedures and practices as appropriate.
  9. Collaborate with software developers, testers and users throughout the System Development Life Cycle.
  10. Support North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC)/Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) compliance by verifying adherence to standard requirements and documentation measures.
  11. May also participate as a programmer on other teams in support of the Transmission Technology business unit as needed.
  12. Provide emergency and backup support for existing systems and functions.
  13. With Client manager oversight and approval, provide support for ongoing projects:
    • Break down technical work into tasks and provide reasonable time estimates for completion.
    • Review other developers’ code and provide technical constructive feedback where necessary to verify that the code follows programming best practices.
    • Communicate status of project development work to project team, users, information system owners and others.
  14. Analyze and propose technical designs that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements which also optimize the long-term maintainability of the system.
  15. Identify and escalate technical bottlenecks and impediments to the project manager and information system owner.
  16. Produce required project technical documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Corresponding Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a directly related field is preferred.

Summary

The Business System Analyst (BSA) is responsible for understanding the requirements for a particular case, or step of a case, and determining how those functional requirements translate into technical specifications. Job Responsibilities

Job Description


The ideal candidate will possess advanced-level ETL experience with Epic Caboodle’s ETL framework as well as experience using Microsoft’s data warehouse tools, including SSIS and SSAS. Hands-on experience with Epic Caboodle Data Warehouse is required with Epic Clarity preferred. Finally, the candidate shall be able to effectively read as well as author SQL at an advanced level.


Hospital partners is embarking on a multi-year population health program known as Healthy Planet. Within this program are two projects: (1) Implementation of Epic Systems population health module known as Healthy Planet and its adoption by the enterprise (2) Operationalization of Epic Caboodle Data Warehouse (CDW).


This position is responsible for advanced ETL and database design and development utilizing Epic’s framework for developing Caboodle ETL. SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis will be utilized as required. These processes are used in support of healthcare financial, clinical and shared services customers. ETL design and development that delivers information effectively to and from CDW data star schema and OLAP data structures while following the SDLC process are hallmarks of this position.


This position is responsible for developing data warehouse structures in support of the implementation of Hospital Partners Caboodle Data Warehouse. This position is responsible for partnering with BI business analysts, SQL Server Database Administrators, and end-user layer Business Intelligence developers in implementing information technology solutions delivered to SQL Server for leveraging in SAP Business Objects, Epic Hyperspace, and Tableau. These solutions allow users to appropriately generate timely, accurate and comprehensive information for managing our business.


This position is responsible for the support of Caboodle Data Warehouse and SSIS for the team of developers and will be responsible for developing best practices with respect to coding, error handling, and parameter management. This position is also responsible for detailed technical analysis to assure the availability and accuracy of data processed by the ETL or contained in the supported data warehouse and systems.

DataWarehouse, ETL and Systems Development:

Work with BI architects, developers, analysts and users to design, create and publish ETL processes and ETL metadata using CDW and SSIS ETL processes as required. Provide complete and consistent documentation of data warehouse content and ensure that users can determine what data is available in the warehouse, how this data is defined, how key metrics are defined and analysis is performed.

Use the knowledge gained by working with the ETL team and through prior experience to analyze healthcare data in order to meet reporting requirements. Deliver additional ETL tools and/or data warehouse systems/products to improve the use of business data in the decision making process. Facilitate customer requests for new or changed solutions. Develops options with recommendation, creates functional specifications including performance requirements, creates test plans to confirm delivered functionality.


System Administration & Application Management: Administers the Microsoft development toolset including SQL Server Integration Services by performing maintenance and upgrades and supporting the development team in the use of these tools. SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION

The primary purpose and function of the Windows System Administrator is to install, configure, maintain, and monitor the performance of systems hardware and software. Summary
Data Services is the team within ECAR which manages and shepherds data through the entire lifecycle of a class action or similar matter, such as a mass tort claim. Each case, while unique, undergoes a similar lifecycle and series of operations, including initial gathering/scrubbing/loading of client data, notifying potential class members, receiving claim information, computing and disbursing settlement amounts, and so on. Each of these steps will be reflected by and/or have material effect on the underlying case data. The Business System Analyst (BSA) is responsible for understanding the requirements for a particular case, or step of a case, and determining how those functional requirements translate into technical specifications. The BSA translates functional requirements into a technical statement of work from which developers can code solutions. The BSA works directly with Client Services, Technical Project Managers, Data Analysts, QC Analysts, other BSAs, department Team Leads, and others to understand all aspects of the case and to determine and document the data-oriented solution.


Job Responsibilities
• Understand the entire lifecycle of a class action or similar matter, determine what data is required based on functional requirements, and define how that data and business rules will translate to internal applications.
Develop and publish technical specifications, technical requirements, and other documentation, as required.
Design data mappings and transformations which will be used to drive ETL procedures.
• Work with QC Analysts to design testing strategies and plans to ensure all outcomes are as expected.
Using tools such as Excel, Access, SQL Server, and others, directly query, assess, and analyze data to ensure requirements are being met.
• Serve as liaison between Client Services (business) and Data Analysts (technical) teams to keep production work flowing smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS
Education & Corresponding Experience:
• A degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Computer Science (or a closely related field) is preferred.
• With an applicable Bachelor’s degree, 8 years of experience is required.
• With an applicable Associates degree, 10 years of experience is required.
• Without an applicable degree, 12 years of experience is required.
• Experience should include direct work experience as a change manager, business analyst, strategic business partner or equivalent. Business analysis experience should be progressively more technical in nature.




Required Technical Skills & Experience:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a well-respected market leader, located near Washington Square Mall in Beaverton.

The Production Data Analyst (DA) develops database queries, scripts, tools, and methods to manage data according to client requirements, within defined technical standards, and within time constraints. Emphasis is on ETL procedures. The DA is proficient with relational database concepts and practices, is able to evaluate and write complex SQL queries, and can create and maintain common database objects such as views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions. The DA should be familiar with and able to utilize code management and/or revision control tools and follow standard software development practices. The majority of time is spent developing and refining ETL processes, writing update queries, and writing ad-hoc queries on behalf of clients and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain ETL procedures according to client specifications and within defined technical standards.
  • Develop and maintain database stored procedures, user-defined functions, views, triggers and other common database objects.
  • Write custom and ad-hoc SQL queries and update queries.
  • Follow prescribed software development standards, processes, procedures, methodologies, etc., according to departmental policies and conventions.
  • Interact and correspond professionally with team members, project management, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Account for and accurately log time against project work.

Required Skills:
  • BS Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, 2008 R2 or higher, as a developer or DBA.
  • Strong SQL skills, able to create and to evaluate complex SQL statements involving numerous tables and complex relationships.
  • Ability to work in an environment with deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Basic understanding of and experience with query performance tuning.
  • Experience developing and maintaining ETL procedures.
  • Experience with SSIS preferred.
  • Experience or familiarity with C# or Visual Basic is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; able to adjust for intended audience. Fluency in English.

The project manager is responsible for overall project performance, coordinating with the other members of the project team and the company at large for the timely and optimal utilization of resources assigned to the project. Works to ensure that project is completed within the established time frame and maximize budgetary parameters.

Assists in planning and coordinating system for design and implementation of projects. Such projects may involve the development of new data processing applications systems or the substantial modification of existing systems. Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for project team and their responsibilities.
  2. Establish and maintain professional and effective relations with the owner, contractor and architect.
  3. Review and approve all owner change orders.
  4. Responsible for complete project budget, ensures change orders falls within budget requirements.
  5. Maintains close liaison with engineering team so the concepts and goals of the project are achieved, providing good technical guidance as needed.

  12. Liaison with all subcontractors on jobsite. Responsible for contract and buyout of each subcontractor.
  13. Monitors activities to ensure compliance with any government regulations that may apply.
  14. Maintains close liaison with structural engineering firm, overseas all areas of contract scope is covered.
  15. Responsible for activities and the results of those activities specifically assigned and agreed upon.
  16. Completes assigned projects in a timely manner, within project resources.
  17. Ensures good coordination and effective project integration with existing systems.
  18. Secures approvals on specifications and project completion as appropriate.
  19. Keeps management informed of project progress and problems, particularly as to needed changes in schedule, resources, production, or installation.
  20. Prepares periodic progress reports, estimates, and re-estimates, including productivity analysis for the President, Operations and Accounting.
  21. Responds to problems in a timely, effective manner.
  22. Maintains appropriate expertise to ensure effective, solution-oriented service level.
  23. Attendance in the office/field during normal business hours.

Qualified Candidates Will Possess the Following:

Education: College graduate or equivalent; Construction Management or Engineering background preferable.

Experience: Prior experience working for a general contractor, mechanical subcontractor, or curtainwall subcontractor in the high-rise construction industry. Minimum 5+ year’s Project coordination or Project Management experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Experienced with MS Office programs.

Position demands maturity, confidentiality, and the ability to interface with various departments and individuals. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Under limited guidance, acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT and performs tasks throughout the entire SDLC, including requirements gathering, functional design, test case and test script development, testing, and post-production support.

The Business Systems Analyst is expected to:

  • Understand business activities that are within the scope of projects assigned to ensure that the right business process and technological solutions are designed appropriately
  • Work closely with the business to understand their needs and define business requirements
  • Work closely with various technical teams on system design and 3rd party integration solutions

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong business analysis skills and experience working with business users and software developers
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must understand technical problems and solutions in relation to current and future business environments.

Position Overview:
This contract Electrical Engineer 1 position will work with Client’s Transmission Grid Modeling (TPMG) group. This position will work interactively with Project Managers, Design Engineers, Customer Service Engineers, Field Service Engineers, Planning and Operations Study Engineers, and Project Coordination Engineers to support the calculations for Client’s System Electrical Data (SED). This position will also work with Grid Modeling Engineers and Client’s customers to gather, analyze, compare, and process the Facility Ratings from foreign utilities in support of Client’s compliance with NERC FAC-008.




POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Confer with other engineers, internal customers, and other stakeholders to plan, coordinate and discuss existing or potential engineering projects. Apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles/practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
• Support calculation of transmission system impedance parameters used in reliability and commercial planning and operations powerflow studies, real-time studies, and fault studies by performing the following functions:
o Geometric Mean Distances (GMDs)
 Identify and Calculate GMDs
 Draft updates to phase configurations
 Review, markup and approve draft diagrams
o Transmission Design Documentation
 As directed, lookup, request and review data, databases, reports, files, diagrams and documentation
 Identify and document data discrepancies
 Report discrepancies
o Mutual impedances
 Research facility changes
 Identify and organize calculation inputs
 Calculate mutual impedances as directed
 Draft new and draft updates to existing mutual impedance transmission line diagrams

  • Schedule and arrange meetings, conferences and training, including associated logistics and any necessary equipment (securing rooms, phone bridges, projection equipment, etc.).Assist, compile, organize and verify appropriate files, notes and other materials are in order and ready for use at meetings, appointments, etc.
  • Draft agendas, coordinate speaking points, make arrangements for guest(s) / guest speakers and research and draft background information / materials as requested.
  • Complete appropriate new employee on-boarding activities and retirement documentation.
  • Maintain Employee Tracking Log, BFTE tracking, on-board reports, training, medical surveillance, emergency contact, and reimbursement tracking information.
  • Coordinate and assist managers with development of annual managers’ and employees’ performance appraisal plans by assisting in implementing, completing, and tracking documentation management.
  • Schedule and track to completion all managers’ and employees’ progress reviews, performing associated follow-up to obtain required signatures and approvals.
  • Apply strong familiarity with manager’s performance contract to prioritize and track meetings, work, and delegated projects or tasks to maintain accountability and to assist in ensuring established targets are met.
  • Validate on-time documentation submission to Human Capital Management (HCM) and verify all processes are tracked to completion within established timelines.
  • Arrange travel, foreign and domestic, including airline arrangements, hotel accommodations, and rental car and shuttle reservations for manager and staff as required. Prepare and process travel authorizations and vouchers for Manager, Lead and employees using Concur and/or Concur travel agent. Confirm travel is complete and vouchers are processed in a timely manner, in accordance with federal and travel procedures and policies. Provide necessary foreign and domestic forms associated with travel.
  • Participate on business process improvement and other special project teams, as requested by the manager.
  • Maintain and update the organizational SharePoint site. To include monitoring retention policy on all SharePoint folders; establishing calendars, and content maintenance and currency.

Common Position Requirements include:

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science, Administrative Management or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • 4-6 years of demonstrated administrative/ clerical experience is required (Level 2 positions)
  • 6+ years of demonstrated administrative/clerical experience is required. (Level 3 positions)
  • 4 or more years of relevant work experience in administrative support functions with Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook are required. (Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010 is required).

General Requirements:

  • Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined, with ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess organizational capabilities and be able to carry out duties with little direct guidance.
  • Must be able to multi-task, work as a team member, be flexible, maintain confidentiality and have good customer service skills.
  • Data entry skills are essential. This position requires above average computer and typing skills to coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and record and distribute meeting notes.
  • SharePoint experience may be highly desired or required depending on position.
